We are happy to be affiliated with A Reason to Dine. This event was established in Columbus in 2009 to help raise funds for the fight against HIV/AIDS by the AIDS Resource Center of Ohio (ARC Ohio). They are now looking to bring the event to Toledo!
How it works:
December 1 marks World AIDS Day. In honor of that, local participating restaurants will donate 10-50% of their proceeds on that day to AIDS education, outreach and research. Grab lunch with your co-workers and help raise money. Get dinner with friends and family and help raise money. It’s really that easy!
How to get involved:
ARC Ohio is currently looking for restaurants in the Toledo area to participate. In return, we will promote the event and your establishment through print ads, promotional materials and a social media campaign. It’s a win/win situation! Last year’s participating restaurants saw an increase in sales and the result of this shared effort was nearly $6,000 raised to support HIV/AIDS prevention testing and medical care for those affected in central Ohio. We are debuting this in the greater Toledo region and have high hopes for a similar success! For more information or to sign-up, please visit http://www.arcohio.org/AReasonToDine. You can also contact ARC Ohio’s Special Events Coordinator, Shaun Whybark, at 614-340-6768 or firstname.lastname@example.org or Event Volunteer Co-Chair Kelly Heuss at 407-616-0657 or email@example.com.
As the date nears, we will also be looking for Restaurant Ambassadors to help out on the day of the event. If you’re interested, please contact us.
Most importantly, on Monday, December 1, dine at one of our participating local restaurants and help the fight against HIV/AIDS in Ohio.
Stay tuned for more details!
